The Dallas Cowboys may not have won a Super Bowl in a long time, but Jerry Jones shouldn’t be too worried about that.
The business mogul continues to cash checks and make money at an alarming rate, regardless of how his team fares on the football field.
As pointed out by Cowboys insider RJ Ochoa, Jones is currently the second-richest person in the sports industry right now (via Forbes).
Jones sits on a whopping $13.8 billion, trailing only Stanley Kroenke ($16.2 billion), who owns the Los Angeles Rams (NFL), Denver Nuggets (NBA), Colorado Avalanche (NHL), Colorado Rapids (MLS), and Arsenal FC (EPL).

The Cowboys have become the biggest and most lucrative sports brand in American Sports, boasting a large fan base, and constantly being a part of the news cycle.
Unfortunately for fans, their unwavering support hasn’t translated into success, especially in the postseason.
The Cowboys are fresh off one of the most heartbreaking and humiliating playoff losses in franchise history, yet nothing has changed so far in the offseason.
If anything, Jones urged the team to do more with less, and he’s not expected to give QB Dak Prescott a contract extension any time soon.
Clearly, cash influx and liquidity aren’t issues for Jones or the Cowboys organization, so his decision not to spend in free agency or extend his franchise player has nothing to do with financial reasons.
Then again, he also evidently knows how to do business better than the rest of us, so maybe we shouldn’t question his ways or tactics.
