Analyst Notes Big Concern For Cavs Ahead Of The Playoffs

The Cleveland Cavaliers have been one of the best teams in the Eastern Conference throughout the 2023-2024 NBA Season.

They might not have a chance at the No. 1 seed given the dominance of the Boston Celtics, but they could still roll into the postseason as the second-best team.

Having the No. 2 seed would be a massive advantage for them, as they would have a chance to take on a higher seed in the first round.

However, they might need to get one of their stars back on the court to have a legitimate chance at a deep playoff run.

Brian Windhorst recently spoke about his concerns for Donovan Mitchell and his health in a recent segment of the NBA on ESPN.

This is “the most important thing for the Cavs, and arguably one of the most important things for the whole Eastern Conference,” Windhorst said.

The Cavaliers have found a way to win without Mitchell at times during the regular season, but the playoffs are a different animal.

When a team has an opportunity to face an opponent in a five or seven-game series, all bets are off.

Teams need to put their best foot forward in these games, hoping to have an edge on their competition.

Mitchell presents this edge and scoring upside for the Cavaliers when healthy, and they have not been the same team without him on the floor.

It will be interesting to see how the Cavaliers monitor him leading into the playoffs, and how healthy he will be when they do get there.
