The Buffalo Bills recently traded away their No. 1 receiver to the Houston Texans.

It was made evident that Stefon Diggs was unhappy with his utilization on the Bills, and he seemed ready to move on after the conclusion of the 2023 season.

While this move might have been the best for Diggs, Robert Griffin III recently highlighted how the Bills made a poor move by trading him.

He called this a “huge mistake” on the Bills, calling out Diggs’ $31 million cap hit now that he is no longer on the roster.

The Buffalo Bills’ Championship window isn’t closed, but they made a HUGE MISTAKE trading Stefon Diggs.

This trade also puts more pressure on Josh Allen to succeed now that he doesn’t have a player like Diggs to rely on in the passing game.

With the departure of Diggs, the Bills’ receiver room is something of a mystery.

They don’t have anyone on the roster who presents as an alpha WR1, which could lead fans to believe that the team will either target a new receiver in the draft or via a trade.

Dalton Kincaid did emerge as a solid pass-catcher last year, but as a tight end, he also has obligations to block, so he can’t be their primary pass-catcher all the time.

The Bills have been one of the best teams in the AFC under Allen.

A lot of analysts and fans have indicated that Diggs helped Allen get to this place, so it will be interesting if he is still productive without Diggs.

If he takes a step back in 2024, the Bills standing as an AFC contender could be out the window.
