The Miami Heat are the seventh seed in the Eastern Conference and preparing to be part of the Play-In Tournament in a couple of weeks.
They are hoping they can begin a postseason run similar to the one they had last year.
They are also hoping that one of their best stars is back in the lineup when that happens.
Shams Charania is reporting that Tyler Herro could return to the lineup on Friday against the Houston Rockets.
Herro has been out since February with a foot injury and has been traveling with his team during this current road trip.
There is optimism Miami Heat guard Tyler Herro – out since Feb. 23 with a foot injury – could return to the lineup on Friday vs. the Houston Rockets, sources tell @TheAthletic @Stadium. Herro traveled on team’s three-game trip to Houston, Indiana and Atlanta.

As mentioned above, Herro hasn’t played since February.
He also missed numerous games toward the beginning of the season with a different injury.
For the 2023-24 season, Herro has only played in 36 games but has averaged 20.8 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 4.4 assists.
For years, Herro was the team’s most reliable sixth man.
In fact, he won Sixth Man of the Year back in 2021-22.
But Herro’s role on the team has upgraded and he is now a starter.
The hope is that Herro can be back with the team this weekend and will have time to adjust to playing again and preparing for any postseason action.
Being in seventh place isn’t ideal but the Heat were in a similar situation last year.
They were able to overcome the odds, surprise a lot of fans, and push all the way to the NBA Finals.
Sadly, Herro missed out on all of that because he was dealing with a hand injury at the time.
No matter how far the Heat go this year, it looks like Herro will be a part of it all.
