After a disappointing first season at the University of Southern California, there has been a lot of speculation about what could happen with Bronny James, as some would argue that he’s not ready to make the jump to the NBA level after an underwhelming performance at USC this year.

Earlier this week, James made a statement that he’s entering the transfer portal while also entering the NBA Draft, but he is keeping his eligibility to continue playing at the college level.

Obviously, the main reason why Bronny has gotten so much buzz and why there’s so much interest in what he wants to do moving forward is the fact that his father, LeBron James of the Los Angeles Lakers, wants to play alongside him on the NBA level.

Even though Bronny James might not be the best prospect right now, the prospect of drafting him and landing LeBron James in NBA free agency has made this a hot topic of discussion.

However, there’s still no telling what the future holds for Bronny, but Shams Charania of The Athletic claims that his defense might be enough to get him drafted in the upcoming 2024 NBA Draft.

“Teams already view him as an NBA-caliber defender,” Charania said via “Run It Back.”

At this point in time, there’s no telling what the future holds for Bronny, and no one knows what plans LeBron has for his immediate future.

LeBron has the ability to opt out of his contract with the Lakers this summer, which he will almost certainly do to either sign a new contract with Los Angeles or explore his options in NBA free agency.
