Once again, the 2023-24 NBA regular season has been a roller-coaster ride for the Los Angeles Lakers, as the team has struggled with consistency and staying healthy throughout the campaign.
Although this will go down as a forgettable regular season, the Lakers have been able to turn things around recently while getting some bodies healthy and back on the floor, like guard Gabe Vincent.
After the team’s last long road trip, the Lakers returned to Los Angeles, having won five of the six games on the road and riding some momentum into the final stretch of the regular season in hopes of securing the highest seed possible ahead of the postseason.
With the Lakers winning eight of their last 10 games and seemingly starting to come together in the final stretch, forward Rui Hachimura talked about the final five regular-season games and what the team needs to do moving forward, via Dave McMenamin of ESPN.
“We can’t lose one game,” Hachimura said. “It’s one at a time, but I think we have five games left? So we’re trying to get all of them.”

Hachimura has been one of the bright spots for the Lakers during their success over the past month or so, as the veteran forward has consistently put up solid numbers since entering the starting lineup for head coach Darvin Ham.
If Hachimura and the rest of the starters can continue to play at a high level while staying healthy, the Lakers could be a dangerous team heading into the postseason in the West.
