After an incredible 2022 NFL season, in which the New York Giants defied the odds to make the NFL playoffs and pull off an upset over the Minnesota Vikings, the storied franchise fell back down to earth last season as the team fell apart, exposing some of the squad’s real issues.
Along with losing star running back Saquon Barkley to the division-rival Philadelphia Eagles in NFL free agency, the Giants seem to be ready to move on from quarterback Daniel Jones or at least bring in his potential successor by selecting a quarterback in the upcoming 2024 NFL Draft.
That said, the team will have to be careful with the moves made in the upcoming draft, especially if they want to land a top-flight wide receiver and bring in a potential starting quarterback or at least a talented quarterback to develop.
According to PFF NY Giants, the ideal draft haul for the Giants come April 25 will consist of the team bringing in wide receiver Rome Odunze, defensive tackle Braden Fiske, quarterback Spencer Rattler, and center Beaux Limmer.

With the Giants having needs in several different areas, this would be a successful draft for New York, which would definitely be deserving of an “A” grade for the moves made.
It’ll be interesting to see what the Giants brass does in the upcoming draft and whether the team addresses their areas of need on both sides of the football or makes a risky move to trade up in the draft for one of the best quarterback prospects available.
