On Friday night, the Milwaukee Bucks suffered another surprising loss, outplayed by the Toronto Raptors and losing 117-111.

This was their third defeat in a row and was at the hands of another inferior team.

Following this disappointing game, head coach Doc Rivers spoke with the press and laid the blame at his feet.

“The last three were against three bad teams. To me, that’s inexcusable. For all of us. As I told them, this is on me. I gotta figure out what we gotta do to play at a higher pace,” River said, via NBACentral.

Following this statement, fans came out to show support for Rivers taking accountability for Milwaukee’s rough stretch of games.

“Wow. His first time he took the blame and didn’t throw his team under the bus,” one Twitter user said, referencing comments Rivers made earlier this season that seemed to blame his team for losses.

Rivers has been very honest since taking the position of head coach for the Bucks.

He has definitely made previous comments that seemed like he was accusing the team of not playing hard enough.

But now he’s stepping up and saying that this string of losses is because of him, which is a good sign.

How is he going to change the team’s trajectory and get them a few much-needed wins before the postseason starts?

The team is still a lock for the playoffs but if they suffer defeats like these, they won’t be competing for very long.
