Paul Pierce and Jason Crowe recently chatted on “All The Smoke Productions,” via ClutchPoints, about the best NBA players who never won a championship.
In a wide-ranging conversation, Pierce put together his list of the top-five ringless stars.
He chose Allen Iverson, Charles Barkley, Karl Malone, James Harden, and Russell Westbrook, a list that Crowe mostly agreed with.
The two men then gave a shoutout to Elgin Baylor.
“Elgin Baylor went to the Finals eight times, the year he retired, they won it,” Pierce said.

This conversation reminds NBA fans of just how many incredible stars of the league have never gone all the way and won a Finals.
Many people judge the success of a player based on how well they do in the postseason.
If they don’t earn a title during their careers, there is always speculation and discussion about why that is and how they came up short.
Several of the stars on Pierce’s list won’t be able to ever win a championship but Harden and Westbrook have a chance.
In fact, they are playing together on the same team for the first time in years and the Los Angeles Clippers have been competitive for most of the season.
Unfortunately, both of them have bad reputations about what they can do in the playoffs.
The same is true for the Clippers.
All of them are hoping to redeem themselves this year and have a very successful postseason run.
There is much more to a player’s career than winning a Finals but it’s undeniable that it’s one of the biggest achievements an NBA star can earn.
Will Harden and Westbrook take themselves off this list before they retire?
