Fans Speculate About Browns QB’s Injury After Recent Visit

The Cleveland Browns had way too many injuries at quarterback this past season, somehow finding a way to make the playoffs despite cycling through five QBs on their way to an 11-win season.

Starting QB Deshaun Watson is getting healthy and should be ready to go next season, but the injuries at the position are apparently not done.

Fans are speculating that the injury to backup QB Dorian Thompson-Robinson might be worse than expected after podcaster Tyler Johnson noted that Tulane QB Michael Pratt had a pre-draft visit with the Browns on Friday.

If the visits are any indication the DTR injury might be more severe than what we know. https://t.co/yteGfoQMgm

It’s hard to envision the Browns even being in the QB market at this point, which has led to speculation that the DTR injury is worse than originally thought.

It’s not the injury it’s the fit. DTR is closer to a Stefanski style qb than a Dorsey style qb. Thats why they went went Jamies and Huntley over Flacco and DTR. DTR is fine don’t add drama for no reason

Top 30 visits are not something you waste on flyers. I would think they draft or sign a FA from one of these visits. They are bringing in 2 players from one position. Seems to show they don’t want to happen again what they had to go through last year Maybe an over correction

It’s not just the injury – he looked completely overwhelmed. At no point during a season game did he appear capable of being anything above a depth piece at best. You can tell early.

DTR is also not good . The exaggeration from some about how good he was last season just doesn’t match visual evidence on the field.

DTR was placed on IR late last season with a hip injury after appearing in eight games and throwing just one touchdown with four interceptions.

Fans were pointing more to his ineffectiveness as a rookie as a reason why QB could be an option in the draft as opposed to his injury.

DTR was a fifth-round selection in 2023 out of UCLA and will turn 25 this season.

If the Browns didn’t like what they saw last season, it’s possible he could be replaced altogether regardless of the status of his hip.

Pratt had a strong career at Tulane, putting up 90 touchdowns and just 26 interceptions in his four years there.
