Bronny James, son of Los Angeles Lakers legend LeBron James, recently submitted his name for this year’s NBA Draft.

However, he also has his options open for staying in college and enhancing his basketball skills even more.

Speaking on “Undisputed,” Rachel Nichols said that Bronny has several potential landing spots and the Lakers are one of them.

“If LeBron wants to play a year with him, he will be on the Lakers next year,” Nichols said.

LeBron has said that he doesn’t have much longer in the league and has also repeatedly reminded everyone that he would love to play alongside his son.

The Lakers will offer James a brand new deal this summer, likely the last of his career.

They could also select Bronny in the second round of the draft, which would make LeBron happy for the duration of his time with the team.

Nichols said that the Lakers would be smart to do this for a number of reasons.

First, LeBron’s happiness is paramount, but Bronny is also a promising NBA prospect.

He hasn’t had the most incredible freshman season but has a lot of potential, is built like a basketball star, and also has serious defensive talent.

He is the sort of player that a team could sign with a two-way contract and help develop into a bigger talent.

Bronny’s father is going to get what he wants because he is the most important player on the team and still one of the most impactful stars of the league at 39 years old.

If he asks the Lakers to sign his son, they will likely do it.

But is that what Bronny wants?

He will have to weigh his options, confer with his family, and decide which path he wants to take.
