Few NBA players had more iconic moments throughout their playing careers in the league than Los Angeles Lakers legend Kobe Bryant, who won five NBA titles with the team and racked up accolades in his two decades as the face of the storied franchise.
With so many iconic moments and memories in purple and gold comes a lot of valuable memorabilia and items that could get sold for quite a bit of money.
Some of those iconic items are starting to surface in auctions with anyone with the means having the ability to have some of Bryant’s gear.
Recently, Bryant’s first championship ring with the Lakers was sold at auction, with his parents putting it up for sale and banking nearly 1 million dollars ($927,000) for the piece of Lakers history.
Now, according to Legion Hoops, Bryant’s jersey from Game 1 of the 2009 NBA Finals, when he dropped a Finals career-high 40 points on the Orlando Magic, has been put up for auction at Sotheby’s.

Obviously, this jersey is a prized possession and will almost certainly go for another high number, with most of Bryant’s Lakers memorabilia these days being extremely valuable and something any Lakers or NBA fan would love to have in their home.
It’ll be interesting to see if more of Bryant’s memorabilia goes up for sale and what else might become available to the highest bidder.
Many Lakers fans with some money to burn will almost certainly pay attention to what goes on sale, as there’s no telling what may become available.
