The 2024 NFL Draft is rapidly approaching.

Teams often turn to pre-draft visits to make their final decisions ahead of this massive event.

These visits can either confirm that a particular player could fit within a team’s scheme or locker room, or they can help teams start to look in a different direction.

All eyes have been on the Minnesota Vikings during the pre-draft process, as fans and analysts alike wonder what the team will do heading into the 2024 season.

Many anticipate them to draft a quarterback due to the departure of Kirk Cousins, but it remains to be seen if the team will take that leap.

Quarterback might be the position at the forefront of fans’ minds, but the team still needs to focus on other areas of growth.

As reporter Alex Marvez recently highlighted, Breyvn Spann-Ford, a Minnesota Gophers tight end, spent time with the Vikings ahead of the draft.

On paper, tight end doesn’t jump out as a position of need for the Vikings.

They have gotten great production out of T.J. Hockenson, who will look to be an impactful player in the Vikings’ new-look offense.

While this is the case, NFL teams are always looking for more playmakers.

It could be from a tight end, wide receiver, or running back, but in the NFL, it’s never a bad thing to have too many good players on your roster.

The Vikings appear to be weighing all of their options ahead of the draft, and if they do take a quarterback, having a new tight end alongside him might not be a bad idea.
