The Golden State Warriors could be looking at the end of their dynasty.
At least, they could be looking at the end of Klay Thompson’s time there.
Even Thompson himself admitted that this could be the end of the line for him in the Bay area, talking on The Draymond Green Show about how he’s going to favor mental health before making a decision in free agency.
With that in mind, Stephen A. Smith has a preferred potential destination in mind for the four-time NBA champion.
Talking on First Take, he stated that as much as Thompson would most likely want to stay in California, being a Los Angeles native, he would love to have him on the New York Knicks.

As much as he’s struggled with inconsistency this season, Smith believes he’d be a perfect fit for Tom Thibodeau’s team, adding that he would even throw a house party if the Knicks were to get Thompson.
Smith stated that at least 20 or 25 teams should be keeping tabs on Thompson, and he’s right.
Thompson is by no means done in this league; he just might not be worth top-dollar at this point in his career.
Even so, he could be helpful to at least a dozen contending teams, depending on the role and the money they’re willing to give him.
It’s going to be odd not to watch him play in the Bay anymore, assuming that’s the case, but Thompson deserves another contract and opportunity to play before walking away.
