The Milwaukee Bucks just went through a major scare

Giannis Antetokounmpo left their game vs. the Boston Celtics with an injury and wasn’t able to return, and people feared for the worst.

The Greek Freak underwent an MRI to determine the extent of the injury, and Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports that his left Achilles tendon was found intact.

After an MRI, Giannis Antetokounmpo’s left Achilles tendon is fully intact and his return to play will come with how quickly his left calf strain heals, sources tell ESPN.

That means Giannis will be back on the court as soon as he heals from his left calf strain.

Needless to say, this is far from ideal, especially considering how much the Bucks have struggled to close out the season.

Then again, this was also the best-case-scenario, as an Achilles injury would’ve ended his season and even put his availability for the upcoming campaign in jeopardy.

Giannis has been the lone bright spot for Doc Rivers’ team this season, being the only player who’s consistently produced and made an impact on both ends of the floor.

Now, it’ll be Damian Lillard’s turn to step up and lead the team, something that he’s been used to doing his entire career.

Perhaps, that’s just what he needs to get into a rhythm before the start of the playoffs, so it could end up being a blessing in disguise.

As for Giannis, he has a history of quick-healing, so it shouldn’t take long before we see him back on the court.
