The Denver Nuggets beat the Minnesota Timberwolves on Wednesday night, led by another basketball masterclass from Nikola Jokic with his 41 points and 11 rebounds.
This was a very significant win for the Nuggets, vaulting them back into the top seed in the West just days before the playoffs begin
But even though the Timberwolves lost, they still earned “the attention and respect” of the defending champions.
That is what Kendrick Perkins said on Twitter following the game.
He tweeted: “Great win by Jokic and Nuggets… but Timberwolves mostly definitely should walk out that arena knowing that they got the Nuggets attention and Respect!!!”

Multiple Timberwolves stars played very well during Wednesday’s game, most notably Anthony Edwards, who put up 25 points while Rudy Gobert scored another double-double with 13 points and 15 rebounds.
They once again proved that they are a team that should be respected and feared by others.
Although the Timberwolves slipped to second place with the loss, they are still right behind the Nuggets with a 55-25 record.
The Nuggets are only one game ahead.
Meanwhile, the Thunder also have a 55-25 record.
That means that the last few days of the season will be important ones, with all three of these teams battling for every victory they can get.
Each team only has two games left and they will be hugely consequential.
The top of the Western Conference hasn’t been this close at the end of the season in a very long time and the top seed can still be earned by any of these three squads.
The Timberwolves have Denver’s attention and respect, but will they also gain the number one seed?
