The Seattle Seahawks are slated to look a lot different in 2024 than they did in 2023.
Not having Pete Carroll as their head coach is one of the most notable differences, as he was a massive reason for the team’s success over the past several seasons.
While losing Carroll comes with it’s own set of challenges and navigation, it is also a great opportunity for the players on this roster to get to know and work under a new head coach.
Mike Macdonald has taken over as the head coaching role for this team, a move that was seen as a head-scratcher when it was first announced.
However, it is clear that he is starting to gain the respect and admiration of his new roster, which was highlighted by Geno Smith in a conversation with analyst Mavzita Maraire.
“He wants us to come out there, be confident, and dominate,” Smith said of his new coach.

Smith seems to be fired up about Macdonald’s hiring, ready to go into battle with his new head coach.
Getting a new head coach can be tough for players on a roster, especially if they have been with that team and an old coaching regime for many years.
However, change can be a good thing in the NFL, and maybe Macdonald’s hiring will end up being a good thing after all.
Smith likes his new coach, which is all an organization can ask for of their starting quarterback.
How will the Seahawks end up fairing in 2024 without Carroll at the helm?
