The 2023 NFL season went a lot differently for the Cincinnati Bengals than many expected coming into the year.
The Bengals were one of the best teams in the league in 2022, but due to injuries to Joe Burrow and other players on the roster, it quickly became clear that they were not going to win the AFC North or make it to the playoffs.
While this was a frustrating result, there is reason to believe that this team can turn things around in 2024.
Burrow will hopefully be fully healthy, and with many of the same pieces still in place from their 2022 season, the Bengals might be on their way to success.
As Josh Alper of Pro Football Talk indicated in an article, the Bengals recently posted a few comments from Burrow on the team’s website that help highlight their expected growth.
Burrow said, “We know we have the right people in place to reach our goals,” adding, “It’s just about putting all those pieces together and finding our roles to optimize what we can do.”

Wil Burrow’s optimism turn into tangible results for the Bengals in 2024?
That remains to be seen.
In order for this team to make a meaningful run to the playoffs, they’ll first have to make it through their AFC North competition, which has gotten increasingly difficult over the past few years.
The Baltimore Ravens and Cleveland Browns both made the playoffs last year, and there’s reason to believe the Pittsburgh Steelers will be a contender for the division again next season.
With that in mind, the Bengals’ road could present several challenges, but it appears that Burrow is more than ready to take them on.
