With this incredible class of quarterbacks, offensive tackles, and wide receivers in the upcoming NFL Draft, it’s easy to lose sight of the talent at other positions.
One of those positions is cornerback, and a certain analyst has taken fondly to one of the biggest names at the position and bestowed high praise upon him.
Renowned analyst Greg Cosell went on the Ross Tucker Podcast and called Clemson CB Nate Wiggins “maybe the most athletically gifted CB in the draft.”

“He’s got size, he’s got length, and he’s got tremendous speed, and that shows up on tape,” Cosell said.
He added, “he played physical press man, he played mirror match press man when you don’t jam off the ball, and there were times he got beaten off the line of scrimmage by the way, but his outstanding accelerating speed allowed him to recover and make a play.”
Wiggins ran a 4.28 40-yard dash with a 10’7″ broad jump at the NFL Combine while measuring in at 6’1″ and 173 pounds.
The obvious knock on Wiggins will be his weight, as 173 pounds is slender for a corner, but that can always be fixed, while his speed is legitimate.
Getting this sort of praise from someone as reputable as Cosell should not go unnoticed.
Wiggins is projected to be a first-round pick and should certainly be one of the first corners off of the board.
His speed and explosiveness was on full display at Clemson, where he had three career interceptions, but had 150 return yards and two touchdowns off those three picks.
