The Minnesota Timberwolves, just like all other top-three teams in the Western Conference, don’t control their destiny.

Anything can happen in a season finale, so Chris Finch’s team needs to make sure to do their job.

Fortunately for them, they just got an elite reinforcement back, as Karl-Anthony Towns made his return after a long injury layoff.

He missed the past 18 games with a lateral meniscus tear in his left knee, but he looked as good as ever in his first game back.

The former No. 1 pick scored 11 points with five rebounds, eight assists, and one block in 28 mins vs. the Atlanta Hawks.

Now, as shown by himself on Twitter, he’s ready to finish the season strong when his team faces off against the Phoenix Suns.

Minnesota currently has the best defense in the league, and they’ll be put to a big test when they have to go against the likes of Kevin Durant, Devin Booker, and Bradley Beal.

Still, their one-two punch of Anthony Edwards and Karl-Anthony Towns, as well as Rudy Gobert’s elite rim protection, should give the Timberwolves a big chance to take care of business in front of their home crowd.
