The Western Conference has been a jumble of teams, including the New Orleans Pelicans, jostling for playoff positioning during the 2023-24 NBA season.
The Pelicans started off the regular season hot and owned the No. 1 seed for a moment before injuries caught up to them and caused them to slip down the standings.
Heading into their regular-season finale against the Los Angeles Lakers, New Orleans has a chance to avoid the Play-In Tournament entirely with a win.
With such a huge game on the line, New Orleans will need all the help it can get to beat a highly-motivated Lakers team.
Head coach Willie Green announced that Brandon Ingram would play albeit he’ll be limited a bit, via Christian Clark of NOLA.com.
“Brandon Ingram will play. ‘A bit of a minutes restriction but not a heavy one,’ Willie Green said,” Clark tweeted.

Ingram hyperextended his knee in March against the Orlando Magic and missed the Pelicans’ next 12 games.
New Orleans managed to beat the Golden State Warriors in their previous game, guaranteeing that they finish no lower than seventh.
Getting Ingram back against Los Angeles is a huge boost to their offense, though it remains to be seen how effective he’ll be in his first game in weeks.
The Lakers have played the Pelicans well this season, so the latter will have their hands full when they try to keep the sixth seed.
