The NBA’s regular season has officially concluded, and the Play-In Tournament will commence in the coming days.
The Play-In Tournament allows additional bubble teams to have a chance to make it to the playoffs, which should provide a lot of excitement and drama.
LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers are one of the teams who have an extra opportunity via this tournament.
James was recently asked about how the team’s regular season went down, saying, “For everything we went through, it’s a pretty good season for us.”
LeBron: “Good regular season for us, even throughout everything that went on … For us to end the season 12 games over .500 — 13 if you count the championship of the In-Season Tournament — for everything we went through, it’s a pretty good season for us.”

He highlighted the fact that the Lakers won the In-Season Tournament, but it remains to be seen if that momentum will help them make a meaningful run in the playoffs.
The Lakers will have to overcome a pesky New Orleans Pelicans team in Round 1, a team that has proven to be tough to beat when their roster is fully healthy.
James does seem to bring another level of effort and athleticism in the playoffs, and while the Lakers weren’t necessarily a top team in the West during the regular season, anything can happen in the playoffs.
If they get past the Pelicans and eventually make it into the playoffs, there’s no telling what kind of run they could go on down the stretch with James and Anthony Davis on their roster.
The West is more evenly balanced this year than in previous seasons, with teams like the Oklahoma City Thunder, Minnesota Timberwolves, and Dallas Mavericks trying to make a name for themselves and break through the noise.
