For years, Doc Rivers has been one of the most controversial figures around the league.

He has some players who would run through a wall for him, like Patrick Beverley, and others who have openly criticized him for his constant shortcomings, such as JJ Redick or Matt Barnes.

Notably, it seems like Eddie House is a part of the group who likes him.

Talking on The Carton Show, he stood up for his former coach, talking about how much he listens to the players and understands them, which is always a good thing.

He believes that Rivers is the ultimate player’s coach, and he prepares practice depending on what he feels the players need.

Rivers won an NBA championship almost two decades ago, and he continues to live off of it.

He had four future Hall of Famers on that roster and he hasn’t found the same success without them.

No one has blown more postseason series leads than Doc Rivers, and he hasn’t exactly made the Milwaukee Bucks better.

So, even if he’s a great guy and a player’s coach, that doesn’t mean he’s the right guy to lead a championship team.
