The Houston Texans made one of the biggest splashes of the offseason when they traded for Stefon Diggs.
There were rumors of Diggs being unhappy about his role with the Buffalo Bills, but it was unclear if the team would actually move on from him.
He was Josh Allen’s No. 1 target, and many believe that Diggs was a big part of Allen’s early development to help him become one of the best quarterbacks in the AFC.
However, it appeared that the Bills organization didn’t want to deal with any more drama or frustration from Diggs and ended up dealing him to the Texans.
This could be a significant upgrade for the Texans, an up-and-coming team led by the reigning Rookie of The Year, C.J. Stroud.
Head coach DeMeco Ryans recently spoke at a press conference about Diggs’ role and impact on this team, as reporter Aaron Wilson highlighted.
“With Diggs, adding him as one of those guys I talked about. He’s been a great player in this league for a long time,” Ryans said.

Ryans also talked about his leadership and on-field abilities, and hopes that Diggs can bring a similar impact to the Texans that he brought to the Bills and Minnesota Vikings.
Diggs might not have left the Bills on the best of terms, but if he can remain focused and dedicated to making the Texans the best team they can be, this could turn out to be the trade of the offseason.
Stroud and Diggs have already been seen working out together, which has made fans excited about what this duo can produce in 2024 and beyond.
