Once again, the Golden State Warriors find themselves in a difficult situation.

Steve Kerr’s team needs to get past the Sacramento Kings to get a chance at the No. 8 seed, and they’ll have to beat whoever loses between the New Orleans Pelicans and Los Angeles Lakers later.

Needless to say, having your season hanging by a thread and having to win two games just to get a shot at facing the Oklahoma City Thunder in the first round is a tough picture, to say the least.

With that in mind, Warriors star Draymond Green shared his thoughts on this instance.

Talking on his podcast, the former Defensive Player of the Year revealed his mixed feelings about the Play-In Tournament, stating that he absolutely hates it as a basketball player, yet it’s the greatest thing ever created for the fans (via The Volume).

He’s right on point.

For the players, fighting all season to get the No. 7 or No. 8 seed and then going home empty-handed is brutal, especially in the Western Conference, where all potential postseason teams have winning records.

But for the fans, it’s just the best thing ever.

It’s obviously a shame for the teams that are unable to hang on.

On the other hand, if you can’t win a couple of games with your season on the line, then perhaps you didn’t deserve to make the playoffs to begin with.

Also, the uncertainty about who’s going to face who in the first round only makes this all the more exciting.
