The Phoenix Suns were supposed to be one of the powerhouses in the Western Conference this season, but that clearly wasn’t the case.

They went back and forth in the standings, alternating great games with not-so-good ones.

And while Kevin Durant was as efficient and impactful as always this season, all eyes will be on him again in the playoffs.

That’s why sports analyst Craig Carton believes he’s one of the players currently under the most pressure.

Speaking on The Carton Show, he talked about Durant’s postseason shortcomings outside of the Golden State Warriors, and the fans will always hold that against him.

“The Suns have been a big disappointment. Kevin Durant’s got a lot of pressure on him this postseason,” Carton said.

Still, he also gave him credit for being in love and obsessed with the game of basketball and continuing to put in a lot of work to master his craft.

Durant is one of the most skilled players this game has ever seen, and that’s why he’s always held to such a high standard.

He hasn’t been to the NBA Finals since his days in the Bay area, and he hasn’t won a championship without Stephen Curry.

That shouldn’t affect his legacy, but he’s become a villain in the eyes of countless fans, and he’s not going to be able to turn that narrative around until he wins somewhere else, even if it’s with another so-called superteam.

Even so, Durant doesn’t seem to be too bothered about his legacy or what the fans think of him, so even if he’s hard-pressed to deliver, he might not let that affect his game or his approach whatsoever.
