The Milwaukee Bucks are far from a contending team right now, or at least so they seem.

Despite having the No. 3 seed, they haven’t been a legitimate threat for most of the season, constantly folding against winning teams, and blowing lead after lead.

On top of that, they might not have Giannis Antetokounmpo to begin the first round of the playoffs, as he suffered a concerning calf injury.

That’s why Brian Windhorst believes the end could be near for this franchise.

Talking on ESPN’s Get Up, he argued that if the Bucks lose in the first round of the playoffs, they should be very worried about Giannis’ future with the organization.

“If [the Bucks] go down in the first round again … I’m not sure where Giannis is going to be.”

While everybody talks about whether Damian Lillard could request a trade or whether they should look to move him, Windhorst thinks Giannis is the one who could force his way out.

He thinks they need to make sure Giannis is still committed.

This has been a complicated season for the Bucks, and Giannis hasn’t hidden his frustration with his team, his teammates, and even himself.

Of course, there have always been rumors about him potentially leaving, and he keeps doubling down on his commitment to the organization and the community, but we’ve seen how quickly things can change in the NBA.

The Indiana Pacers got the best of them multiple times this season and look tailor-made to beat them in this series, especially if Giannis isn’t there or at 100%.

That’ll be a situation to keep an eye on all summer.
