If the Los Angeles Lakers are going to get out of the Play-In Tournament and into the postseason, they will need all the help they can get.

That means they want all of their players healthy and active.

Sadly, they might not get that wish.

Dave McMenamin is reporting that Cam Reddish has been downgraded to “questionable” for Tuesday night’s Play-In game against the New Orleans Pelicans.

Reddish is suffering from a right ankle sprain and hasn’t participated in the last two games.

Reddish averaged 5.4 points, 2.1 rebounds, and 1 assist per game during the 2023-24 season.

This was his first season with the Lakers after seasons with the Atlanta Hawks, New York Knicks, and Portland Trail Blazers.

Reddish is a former first-round draft pick who never really came into his own with other teams.

Since joining the Lakers, he has shown signs of feeling comfortable and happy in Los Angeles.

The 24-year-old star has had some impressive moments that have shined brightly and caught the attention of many but others have been hoping for more from him.

At 6-foot-8, the Lakers were hoping they could use Reddish’s height in the Play-In Tournament.

That is especially true since Anthony Davis hurt himself during Sunday’s game and might not be 100% during Tuesday’s rematch against the Pelicans.

But the Lakers might have to push on without Reddish.

Injuries have been rough on the Lakers all season long and now it sounds like one more physical problem is popping up right before the Play-In games.

Reddish isn’t one of the most important players for the team but the Lakers were really hoping they could rely on him during this very pivotal game.
