Draymond Green of the Golden State Warriors recently said that the NBA Play-In Tournament is the “best thing ever created” and he’s not the only one singing the praises of this relatively new NBA competition.
On Tuesday’s “First Take,” Brian Windhorst called the Play-In a “home run across the board” and said that the NBA is in love with the tournament.
He noted that the league has added six very crucial games right before the playoffs, which gets fans more involved and requires teams to continue to play hard right until the very start of the playoffs.

The Play-In was initially started during the 2020 Orlando bubble when the league was forced to find a way to start the playoffs after months of being shut down due to COVID.
The Play-In made the most sense and it was instantly a hit with the league, players, and fans.
Now it’s become one of the most exciting parts of the year.
In a matter of days, the teams seeded seventh through tenth places in both conferences have to fight very hard through one last stretch of games.
If they win, they are able to score a spot in the playoffs but if they lose they are sent home.
On Tuesday night, the Los Angeles Lakers will face off against the New Orleans Pelicans for the seventh seed while the Sacramento Kings will battle the Golden State Warriors.
The winner of the Lakers-Pelicans game will instantly have the seventh spot in the West while the winner of the Kings and Warriors will have to play one more time to get the eighth.
As for NBA fans, they will be paying close attention just like they have been since the creation of the Play-In.
