San Francisco 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy established himself as a star this past season by leading his team to the Super Bowl, making it all the way to overtime before suffering a devastating loss at the hands of the Kansas City Chiefs.

Fortunately for Purdy, all that success has landed him a new side gig that should give him fond memories of his time at Iowa State.

Matt Maiocco of NBC Sports shared that Purdy has been enlisted by John Deere to play a different kind of quarterback, as this time he will be leading the organization’s search for its first-ever “chief tractor officer.”

The company rolled out a marketing campaign today featuring a handful of celebrities and athletes with Purdy leading the search alongside teammate Colton McKivitz, Indiana Pacers star Tyrese Haliburton, Olympic gymnast Gabby Douglas, Corn Kid, and more.

The responsibilities of the chief tractor officer position will include handling the company’s social media and managing its new TikTok channel.

Purdy is set to make just $985,000 this season as he is still on his rookie contract after being selected with the last pick in the draft a few years ago, so it’s nice to see him get a real job in the meantime to help supplement his income.

If Purdy can replicate the success that he had last season, maybe he can finally get himself a bag and hang up his boots for good, and hand over the reins to the new chief tractor officer of John Deere.
