We could be witnessing the end of the Golden State Warriors’ dynasty.

For the first time in the Steve Kerr era, they’ve failed to make the playoffs despite having Stephen Curry, Draymond Green, and Klay Thompson healthy.

They finished the season strong and with a winning record, but they couldn’t find the consistency they needed.

More than that, they didn’t exactly go out with a bang, struggling to keep up with the Sacramento Kings.

Klay Thompson had arguably the worst game of his career, going scoreless on ten shots.

That’s why sports analyst Craig Carton claimed that their outing was ‘pathetic,’ adding that greatness usually goes down without a fight, and that even though you won’t win every game, the Warriors simply showed no sense of urgency (via The Carton Show).

“Last night was pathetic.”

He called out Thompson for not trying to get over the hump by attempting a couple of layups or driving to the rim to get a couple of free-throws.

The Kings clearly wanted to make a statement.

The Warriors ended their season last year, and they wanted to get back at them, which only makes sense.

Thompson is now headed to free agency, and there have been plenty of rumors about his potential future and whether he’s going to extend his stay in the Bay area or not.

This group could still have another championship run in them if the front office manages to get the right pieces around them, but that might require that he takes a bigger pay cut than he’s willing to do.
