It’s a fun time to be a Chicago Bears fan, as they have the No. 1 pick for the second year in a row despite going 7-10 last season, and have had an impressive offseason after acquiring Keenan Allen, D’Andre Swift, and Kevin Byard.
While taking USC’s Caleb Williams with the first pick is likely a foregone conclusion, the Bears also have the No. 9 pick, and there are reportedly two prospects that are at the top of their list.
Sportskeeda’s Tony Pauline reported that if the Bears draft a pass catcher, two of the main options are Washington wide receiver Rome Odunze and Georgia tight end Brock Bowers.

The Bears’ defense ended last season on a high note and should once again be one of the league’s most serviceable defenses, so they have the luxury of splurging on offense at No. 9 even after acquiring Allen.
Offense has been an issue for the Bears for seemingly their entire history, and giving Williams a better situation to step into than Justin Fields had a few years ago has to be the biggest priority for the team.
Adding Odunze to a wide receiver room already consisting of Allen and DJ Moore would give the Bears arguably the best receiving corps in the entire league, while adding Bowers to Cole Kmet on the tight end depth chart would do the same for the tight end room.
Using No. 9 as a luxury pick would be a fun move for the Bears, as neither receiver nor tight end is a major need, but either of these guys would add an element to this offense it hasn’t had in years.
