The University of Colorado football team received a lot of traction during the 2023 collegiate season.
While the team’s on-field performances faded over the course of the season, thanks to their new head coach, Deion Sanders, the team continued to build steam.
Sanders was an icon for the sport last season, bringing massive awareness to a school that was otherwise an afterthought in the collegiate community.
He helped change the team’s culture, which started with him and his son making a monumental impact.
Shedeur Sanders took over college football for a time in 2023, throwing the ball in spades to his favorite target, Travis Hunter.
This duo will have an opportunity to make it even further into the postseason in 2024, given the rapport and connection they’ve built over the past few seasons.
Many anticipate Hunter and Sanders to be available in the 2025 NFL Draft, making their performance in the upcoming year so vital.
If they both play well, there is a very real possibility of them both being selected in the first round in 2025.
However, when looking ahead to where these youngsters could land, there was a rumor circulating that Coach Sanders only wanted them to play for six teams.
Sanders recently sat down with Romi Bean to discuss the nature of these comments, indicating that they misrepresented his thoughts on the matter.
“That’s a bold face lie. That’s a stupid lie,” Sanders said.
Setting the record straight:
I asked @DeionSanders about the reports that he will only let Shedeur and Travis Hunter play for 6 NFL teams:

Coach Sanders seems excited about his son and Hunter, who hope to both take a step forward in 2024 and beyond.
