Even before the Atlanta Hawks lost their chance at the playoffs this week, there was a lot of speculation about what will happen to Trae Young.
Will the star player remain in Atlanta or move to another team that has a better chance of winning a championship?
Young’s next destination will be talked about a lot over the next few months and several teams have a better chance than others of landing the 25-year-old guard.
According to Bovada, per NBACentral, the Los Angeles Lakers are the favorites to get Young.
They have +300 odds, followed by the Chicago Bulls with +500, the Dallas Mavericks with +700, and the San Antonio Spurs, who also have +700.

After the Spurs, the Utah Jazz, Detroit Pistons, and Miami Heat are in the mix but their odds are very low.
The Lakers have been tied to Young all season long.
Fans of the team envision a future where Young runs the ball alongside LeBron James and Anthony Davis.
Could they be the best new big three in the league?
It’ll require some work from the Lakers and they will have to say goodbye to a few cherished players.
Is Young worth the price the Lakers would pay?
The three-time All-Star averaged 25.7 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 10.8 assists in 2023-24, shooting 43% from the field.
The Lakers won’t be the only ones vying for Young, with the Bulls and Mavericks apparently in contention too.
Meanwhile, Spurs fans are eager to see what he could do with Victor Wembanyama.
A number of teams could greatly benefit from the addition of Young but only one of them can get him.
Will it be the Lakers or someone else?
