The Miami Heat’s season could come to an end on Friday night.
The team is scheduled to play against the Chicago Bulls in the NBA Play-In Tournament, hoping to secure the eighth seed in the Eastern Conference.
Sadly, they will be without their biggest star, as Jimmy Butler has been ruled out because of an MCL sprain.
But that isn’t going to stop the Heat from trying as hard as they can to win.
Speaking on SiriusXM NBA Radio, rookie star Jaime Jaquez Jr. said that the Heat will play extra hard on behalf of Butler, hoping to make him proud.
“We’re going to make sure that we do everything we can to win this game,” Jaquez said, before adding, “This is something we want to do for him.”

On Thursday, it was revealed that Miami could be without Butler for several weeks as he tends to the nasty injury he suffered on Wednesday night.
That is very bad news for the team, who have an incredibly tough road ahead if they wish to reach the Finals again.
First, they have to beat the Bulls on Friday to claim the eighth spot in their conference.
But things only get more challenging after that, because they would have to play the best team in the league, the Boston Celtics, in the opening round of the postseason.
They would do all of that without Butler.
The Heat have been building a strong roster over the last few years and have scored some impressive wins even when Butler has been ill or injured.
Therefore, they have a shot at beating the Bulls on Friday night.
In fact, they might have an even better chance because they have extra motivation.
Butler has done so much for the Heat over the years and now the other players on the roster are eager to make him proud.
