The Milwaukee Bucks have a big problem on their hands right now.
Giannis Antetokounmpo will be out for the first round of the playoffs with a calf injury, so Damian Lillard will have to do most of the heavy lifting.
That’s a position Lillard has been familiar with for most of his career, but he hasn’t found much success in the postseason thus far.
Also, with all the rumors about him not being happy in Milwaukee, all the distractions and outside noise don’t do much to help his case.
That’s why he wanted to make it loud and clear that there is nothing true about those rumors.
Lillard addressed the media and claimed that he actually loves the situation he’s in right now, adding that he’s been looking forward to this kind of opportunity for years now (via Bucks Breakdown).
Dame: “I saw somebody say “Dame’s not happy in Milwaukee” or something like that. And i know the truth. I love the situation that I’m in. I also know what i have going on outside of basketball that kinda drains me at times.” https://t.co/759UZ3JLzR pic.twitter.com/2G8gUARPwP

Stephen A. Smith of ESPN had stated that Lillard was miserable in Milwaukee, adding that it didn’t have anything to do with basketball and that he was dealing with a lot in his life right now.
The former Portland Trail Blazers star is going through a divorce, and he had listed the Miami Heat as his preferred trade destination before arriving in Wisconsin.
Of course, professional athletes are also human beings, first and foremost, and they deal with stuff off the court just like everybody else.
Still, whether that’s the case or not, perhaps things would be better if people didn’t jump to conclusions or make assumptions about another person’s life.
