LeSean McCoy has been away from the NFL for quite a while now, but he might consider getting back on the field.
That’s because his pocket just got significantly thinner after a lost bet.
As shown by himself on social media, the former Philadelphia Eagles star put up a whopping $250,000 on Devin Haney to beat Ryan Garcia, and we all know what happened by now.
The bet slip shown by Action Network on Twitter shows that the former star running back put a quarter-million on Haney at -1000 odds to get a $25,000 payout, which doesn’t sound like a very profitable wager at all.

Then, Garcia shocked the world by getting the best out of the WBC junior welterweight champion, winning with a majority decision that included three knockdowns.
McCoy later admitted that he had made a big mistake, claiming on Twitter that he “just got cooked.”
That’s the thing with betting on heavy favorites; there’s little to no value, and the risk just isn’t worth it.
On the flip side, whoever bet on Garcia to win got odds close to +500 and got paid big time.
As for McCoy, this might be a hard lesson, but one that needed to be taught.
