Game 1 of the series between the Boston Celtics and Miami Heat went about as expected as the Celtics blew out the Heat to take a 1-0 lead.
Boston is the overwhelming favorite to win the matchup because Miami will be without Jimmy Butler, who is dealing with a knee injury that he suffered in the Play-In Tournament against the Philadelphia 76ers.
No Butler means the Heat don’t have the same level of shotmaking, defense, and clutch shooting they enjoyed in last year’s postseason series against the Celtics.
Jayson Tatum had a monster Game 1 performance, recording his first postseason triple-double with 23 points, 10 rebounds, and 10 assists in 41 minutes of action.
Tatum played well under control and allowed the game to come to him, either taking his shot opportunities or dishing out to teammates when Miami sent defensive help.
Tatum’s triple-double helped a bettor cash in on their bet and come out much richer, via Action Network.
“A $28K winner thanks to Jayson Tatum’s first career playoff triple-double,” they tweeted.

The bettor risked $1,750 on any player to record a triple-double in the game and lucked out with Tatum, who was well on pace at halftime.
It’s quite the win for this person given that this game was a blowout, but it goes to show that anything can happen from game to game in the postseason.
Tatum might not record another triple-double this series after the Heat implement their adjustments, but this individual likely doesn’t care anymore given they have already cashed out enough for the rest of the playoffs.
