The playoffs are where NBA players go from good to great, or vice versa.
Regardless of their regular-season numbers and accolades, some players will never change the narrative around them because of their shortcomings in the postseason, whereas others have earned respect and praise for showing up when it matters the most.
Notably, the Denver Nuggets just happen to have one of the best playoff performers in the game.
Ever since he made it to the league, Jamal Murray proved to be built for the big moment, and he usually rises up to the occasion when his team needs a big bucket in the playoffs.
A graphic shared by “Get Up” on Twitter shows just how much better he gets at the end of the season, taking his averages from 17.5 points and 4.5 assists per game to 24.8 points and 6.3 assists per game in the playoffs.

Murray is an explosive and streaky scorer and a willing passer, and he’s been the perfect sidekick for Nikola Jokic.
They might not be considered the best duo in the game, especially during the regular season, but they definitely play like that when the playoffs come.
Murray proved that again with his game-winning bucket over Anthony Davis to give the Nuggets a 2-0 lead over the Los Angeles Lakers.
The best part about his game is that he knows and embraces his role, and he doesn’t allow his ego get in the way or look to prove something in the playoffs, and he won’t hesitate to defer to a teammate if that’s the right play.
But if the game is on the line and he’s got the rock in his hands, you better believe he’s going all the way.
