At one point in time, DeMarcus Cousins was one of the best players in the NBA, as he had a unique skill set as a big man who could do virtually anything on the basketball floor, and this was before the three-point shooting era began.

During his time with the Sacramento Kings, Cousins made a case for being the best big man in the game, as he was versatile, bruising, and relentless when in the paint.

Unfortunately for Cousins, injuries became a persistent problem right when he began hitting his prime and earning the distinction as an elite big man in the league.

As a result of injuries becoming an issue every single year, NBA teams were no longer willing to take a chance on Cousins, which resulted in him going overseas to continue his playing career.

Cousins is currently playing in Taiwan and can still put up numbers, as seen in this video from Swish Cultures via NBACentral.

Before landing with the Taiwan Beer Leopards, Cousins played for seven different NBA teams, including a stint with the Los Angeles Lakers, during which time he never played a game due to injury.

The veteran center has suited up for the Kings, New Orleans Pelicans, Golden State Warriors, Houston Rockets, Los Angeles Clippers, Milwaukee Bucks, and Denver Nuggets.

At 33 years old and with numerous injuries suffered over the course of his playing career, Cousins has likely played his last game in the NBA, but there’s always a chance he gets another shot if he really shows he’s still got something left while in Taiwan.
