As per usual, the conversation that is dominating the headlines in the league ahead of the 2024 NFL Draft is all about the quarterbacks in this draft class and which of these quarterbacks has the best chance to be a franchise player on the professional level.
At this point in time, USC superstar Caleb Williams seems to be a surefire star player on the next level, which has likely convinced the Chicago Bears to take him with the No. 1 overall pick on Thursday.
However, things start to get interesting once the Washington Commanders are on the clock at No. 2 overall, with Jayden Daniels and Drake Maye being the two quarterbacks in contention to be taken with that pick.
There’s an outside chance that J.J. McCarthy is in the running to be taken second overall by the Commanders or he could go to the New England Patriots at No. 3 overall or fall out of the first round entirely.
Former NFL quarterback Robert Griffin III believes that Maye is very talented and has a chance to become a franchise quarterback.
Drake Maye is OOZING with potential to be a FRANCHISE QB and needs whoever drafts him to help him unlock it just like Majin Vegeta.

With so many quarterback-needy teams in the draft this season, these players will be evaluated over and over again before the team takes a chance on them on April 25.
Bringing in a franchise quarterback is obviously the goal for these teams, and there’s no shortage of options with the potential to become that caliber of a player.
It’ll be interesting to see if McCarthy is a player that teams are willing to take a chance on in the first round.
