The Dallas Mavericks are right back in the series.
Despite Kawhi Leonard’s return, Jason Kidd’s team was able to bounce back from a tough loss to steal homecourt advantage before the series heads to Dallas for Games 3 and 4.
Leonard missed the final stretch of the regular season and the first game of the series with yet another injury, but he was right back to his usual self as soon as he set foot on the court on Tuesday night.
With that in mind, Luka Doncic showered him in praise, claiming that everybody knows how special he is and how dominant he can become when the playoffs come (Via Tomer Azarly & ClutchPoints).
“He’s an unbelievable player. We all know when the playoffs come, he’s even better. He’s locked in offensively and defensively, so it’s really tough to stop. I learned a lot playing against him. He’s an unbelievable player,” Doncic said.

Leonard has barely played in the playoffs since arriving in Los Angeles.
He’s been hurt more often than not, hurting his team’s chances to get over the hump once and for all.
Even so, he’s been one of the best postseason performers in the game every single time he’s been available for Tyronn Lue’s team, and this shouldn’t be the exception to the rule.
Of course, there will always be injury concerns with a player like him, and there’s never a guarantee that he’s going to be able to suit up for the next game, which is why some don’t consider him to be a superstar anymore.
Still, not many players are able to do what he does on both ends of the floor, locking down the opposition’s best player on defense, and putting up 25 points on the other end.
