On Tuesday evening, the NBA announced that Tyrese Maxey of the Philadelphia 76ers was the Most Improved Player of the Year.
This followed a season of amazing performances from Maxey as he became the second-best player in Philadelphia.
A lot of people believe that Maxey earned the trophy, but Skip Bayless thinks that someone else is the league’s most improved star.
On Wednesday’s “Undisputed,” he threw his support behind Luka Doncic of the Dallas Mavericks.
Bayless said that Doncic has improved his three-point and free-throw shooting and has become an all-around better player.

When looking at the numbers, it’s hard to argue with Bayless about Doncic’s improvements.
He is now averaging 33.9 points per game, a career-best and the highest in the league for 2023-24.
He is also shooting 38.2% from beyond the three-point line, also a career-best.
His free-throw shooting has also indeed improved just like Bayless said, and Doncic is averaging 78.6% from the charity stripe.
That is another career best for the star.
Doncic didn’t win MIP this year but he is obviously doing some great things for the Mavericks and helped them earn a crucial Game 2 win over the Los Angeles Clippers on Tuesday night.
He could be just days away from getting his team to the second round and possibly even further.
There are many reasons for the success that the Mavericks have found this season.
The entire roster has gotten better and Kyrie Irving is working much better alongside Doncic.
But it’s clear that Doncic has definitely improved in some vital ways.
He is not just the most valuable player for Dallas, he is one of the most valuable players in the league.
