The Phoenix Suns made it close on Tuesday night but they again lost to the Minnesota Timberwolves and are now down 2-0 in the opening round of the playoffs.

Tuesday was trouble in a number of ways for the Suns and multiple stars had a tough night, including Kevin Durant.

Durant shot 6-of-15 from the field and scored 18 points during the loss.

On Wednesday’s “Undisputed,” Skip Bayless said that Durant isn’t the player he once was.

“Kevin Durant does not have that gear anymore,” Bayless said.

Durant’s Game 1 was much better than Game 2, as he scored 31 points and 7 rebounds during that game.

He didn’t produce as much on Tuesday and it’s a worrying sign.

If the Suns are going to overcome the Timberwolves and come back from this deficit, as well as go further in the playoffs, they will need Durant to play like the MVP he once was.

Everyone knew that the Timberwolves were going to be tough opponents when the playoffs began and they are definitely living up to those expectations.

Now the Suns are in a tough position and a deep hole and it’ll be hard for them to crawl out of it.

While it might be tough, it isn’t impossible if Phoenix is able to right their wrongs and have every player step up.

Durant has been in the playoffs many times and he knows how difficult the postseason can be.

But this year might end up being his toughest – and perhaps shortest – playoff run yet.

Bayless thinks the 35-year-old star isn’t the sort of player he once was.

Durant can prove him wrong with a dominant Game 3 performance.
