The 2024 NFL Draft is nearly here, an event that fans have anticipated since the last whistle was blown in the Super Bowl.
While every draft is important to teams, with the amount of quarterback depth in this year’s draft, fans and analysts are particularly excited to see what this class can do.
Several prospects are hoping to get selected in the first round, which would likely pave the way for them to start in Year 1.
J.J. McCarthy is one of those prospects, but with mixed reviews on him from teams around the league, it is difficult to know where he’ll get drafted.
He recently appeared on NFL Total Access to talk about the upcoming draft, but he made sure to call out the coach that helped him get to this position: Jim Harbaugh.
“There is nobody that eats, sleeps, and breathes football more than that guy,” McCarthy said.

Harbaugh is viewed as a big reason for Michigan’s National Championship in 2023.
His players responded well to his leadership, resulting in an unforgettable season.
McCarthy’s draft stock rose during the run to the National Championship, giving scouts more exposure to his tape in big moments.
While McCarthy was the quarterback during this title run, there are a few concerns that he didn’t do as much as people think.
After all, Michigan had one of the best rushing offenses in the country last year, and with two premier backs in the backfield with him, McCarthy had two safety nets if a play broke down.
It will be interesting to see how he adapts to the NFL, a much more pass-happy league than his system in college.
