Everyone’s Saying The Same Thing After Celtics’ Game 2 Loss

Back in the day, the Boston Celtics inspired fear in the hearts of their opponents.

They dominated the league like no other team in sports, winning 11 championships in 13 seasons with Bill Russell at the helm.

Then, they continued to be a force, with Larry Bird going toe-to-toe with Magic Johnson in arguably the greatest rivalry in NBA history.

However, they’ve only won one championship since the Larry Bird era, and it seems like that winning aura is nowhere to be found.

That’s why, after one single loss in the playoffs, some people aren’t so sure about their dominance anymore.

They won a league-best 64 games this season and were 14.5-point favorites over the Miami Heat, but they wound up losing by ten at home.

With that in mind, multiple fans took to Twitter to mock them and wonder whether they’re for real or will fall short of their goal again.

I fear the Celtics might be frauds

The heat own the celtics year after year how much longer will this celtics (fraudulent) team be overrated?!?!

Year after year, the Celtics have underperformed when it mattered the most.

Jayson Tatum led them to the NBA Finals a couple of years ago, but the outcome was the same.

It’s hard to get rid of that narrative when you’ve fallen short over and over, and that’s what seems to be happening with this organization.

It just doesn’t matter how stacked their roster is or how many regular-season games they win, no one will take them seriously again until they pound the table and finish the job once and for all, not even if they have 17 championship banners in the rafters.
