The Los Angeles Lakers haven’t found much success against the Denver Nuggets.
It seems like it just doesn’t matter how well they play; they just can’t seem to get past them.
That was evident again in Game 2, as they held a big lead for most of the game, yet they wound up losing by two anyway.
That’s why sports analyst Craig Carton doesn’t expect things to be very different now that the series is heading to Southern California for games 3 and 4.
Talking on The Carton Show, he predicted that the Nuggets would sweep Darvin Ham’s team simply because they own them.
“The Nuggets own the Lakers, 10-straight wins.”

Carton pointed out the fact that the Nuggets have beaten them ten times in a row dating back to last season, and that’s something that’s got to be in the back of their heads.
The Lakers have managed to make it close more often than not, and they’re knocking on the door of finally beating them, but the Nuggets play them with the confidence of a team that knows it’s better and can beat them when they pick up the intensity.
It’s hard to envision them getting swept two times in a row by the same opponent, and the NBA definitely doesn’t want LeBron James and the Lakers to go home in the first round and in just four games, so there’s always a chance that they can get a win or even two.
But from that to winning the series, that’s going to be an uphill battle for the Purple & Gold.
