The only national champion among the elite crop of quarterback prospects in this year’s NFL Draft is Michigan’s J.J. McCarthy.

Slated to be a first-round pick, DraftKings Sportsbook has released the latest odds on where the Michigan man may be headed ahead of the draft Thursday night.

Unsurprisingly, the Patriots and Vikings are tied for the best odds to select him at +150.

The Giants (+400), the Broncos (+1100), and the Commanders (+1400) have the next best odds.

Interestingly enough, New England is picking at No. 3 overall currently while Minnesota is at No. 11.

The Vikings may try to trade up and get McCarthy before anybody else, which is why their odds could be very high.

The Giants are picking at No. 6 but already have a quarterback in Daniel Jones, at least for the time being.

The Broncos are in the No. 12 slot and are possibly still looking to add to the quarterback room despite trading for Zach Wilson.

Finally, the Commanders have the No. 2 pick but should be ready to draft Heisman Trophy winner Jayden Daniels.

So, New England and Minnesota appear to have the best odds to get McCarthy but both are in almost opposite spots.

Both need quarterbacks, but Minnesota will need to do a lot more to get McCarthy than New England.

With Drake Maye most likely to be the third quarterback off the board behind Williams and Daniels, it seems a lot more likely that he would go to the Pats over McCarthy.

Regardless, once Williams and Daniels come off the board, things will start to get a little crazy.
