Although the score was close for the duration of the game, the Denver Nuggets ultimately sailed past the Los Angeles Lakers on Thursday evening.
The reigning champions have a 3-0 lead in the series and are just one win away from entering the Western Conference semifinals.
Following the big win, Nuggets head coach Michael Malone spoke about his team, how the players feel, and their confidence moving forward.
“There’s a confidence that comes with being a champion. There’s a confidence with our starting five… they’ve been through a lot of wars,” Malone said, via the NBA on Twitter.

The Nuggets’ roster is filled with multiple big-name stars who have been through a lot, as Malone said.
At the center of it all is Nikola Jokic, the Finals MVP who is a monster in just about every game.
He is joined by Jamal Murray, Aaron Gordon, Michael Porter Jr., and a slew of other players who have grown very close over the years and found a ton of success.
Denver’s chemistry is powerful, which is why they are doing so well.
While other teams react frantically when they are behind or make mindless mistakes, the Nuggets are extremely determined and disciplined and always play the same type of winning basketball.
There are many people who think they have what it takes to win the championship again this year.
Fans can feel the confidence with the Nuggets.
Even when a team like the Lakers is up by 20 points, Denver can never be counted out.
The Nuggets are incredibly confident and they have every reason to be.
