The Los Angeles Lakers season has come to an end.
The Denver Nuggets got the best of them again, this time in five games, and there’s not a beacon of hope on the horizon.
LeBron James is heading to the end of his career, and while Anthony Davis was finally efficient and healthy, he still left something to be desired when it mattered the most, and there are doubts about his durability going forward.
That’s why it wasn’t much of a surprise to see LeBron teasing retirement again.
Nonetheless, sports analyst Colin Cowherd doesn’t see that happening (via The Volume).
“I don’t believe that’s LeBron’s last game as a Laker”

Following the game, he took to Twitter to claim that James still has something left in the tank, adding that he doesn’t think last night’s game was his final game with the Purple & Gold.
LeBron did the same thing after being swept last season, just to announce that he wasn’t going to retire during the ESPYs.
Chances are that he’s just saying that in the heat of the moment and to divert attention from the fact that his team got sent home in the first round, as he’s always been as good with PR as he’s been in basketball.
James is one of the greatest players ever, and he’s going to keep getting paid as such.
Even if he’s a billionaire already, there’s just no way he’s going to leave $100+ million on the table if he’s still in the great basketball shape he is.
Also, with Bronny likely entering the league, it’s hard to believe he’d pass on a chance to team up with him.
